2006 will be a good year for F1. This is why.

2005 was an “intresting” year. There were the nancy’s on the Michelin team who decided to play it “safe”, Renault ended Ferrari’s dominance and Finally Schumi was not the champ anymore.

2006 will be a very different year.
1) V8 engines instead of 3 Litre V10’s. Since every manufacturer will be using a new engine, there will be more competition.

2) Ferrari will give it their everything.
3) It may well be Schumi’s last year.

Because of 2) and 3) Ferrari will give their everything. They would love to get the title back and Schumi would love to retire with a title.

4) No more back markers. Well except Jordan / Midland maybe.
This year, there were 2 back marker teams. Both lacked money. Minardi now sold to Red Bull Racing(RBR) for 2006 and Jordan sold to Midland for 2005. There is rumour that RBR might get a Honda Engine for the Minardi, which means Jordan/Midland will be the only backmarkers. Or Will they ? There were occasins this year when the EJ-15B gave a few other cars a run for their money. The M-16 to be designed by Dallara Automobili with a Toyota V8 might solve the problems.

5) The GPWC might be coming.
Like it or not there could be teams that are talking about the breakaway series and F1 could be in its penultimate year, atleast as we know it. This means that everyone will try to put on an impressive show.

6) I hate Fernando and his boss Briatore
Champions have charisma. They are soft spoken, friendly and never over the top. Fernando and Briatore are rude flashy and comical at times. I would love to see their asses handed to them, by anyone, even if it is McLaren. Next year could be the year that Raikonnen shows up and kicks some ass that he has been promising for the past couple of years.
