Being respectful is not being soft

Women, who have not known me well, have assumed that I am soft.

Me apologizing a lot (specially for those curse words) has led them to believe that I am not macho enough.

Given that I same guy who holds the door open for every woman, right from my mom to my friends girlfriend, I would like to contest this. In my opinion, its not about being macho, its about respect, which some women have ventured to call chivalry.

Although this sounds wimpy, as men, we do not give women the respect they deserve in most cases (there could be exceptions, but I am talking about the general population) and shawty’s topic remided me of an incident in my life.

Of course, given that its nanofiction, I decided to extrapolate as I always do. So here is today’s 55

I was relaxing on my yearly trip back home, when my aunt came crying.

“How could he cheat on me and my little girl?”

The unfamiliar territory failed to yield an answer.

Back on the plane, I heard the stewardess say

“We have extra seats, unless you want her on your lap for 14 hours”
