Mr. Richard Boucher does it again.

The news link from SM brought to lite a comment made by the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Mr. Richard Boucher.

On the subject of the Indian government making statements of Pakistan being involved in the 11th July Mumbai bombings he had this to say

“I know there’s a lot of speculation out there now. That happens in these cases. But I think we need to be led by the evidence before we start trying to draw conclusions and make policy pronouncements on it,”

“So that will be our attitude, and I think that should be the attitude of others as well,”

“But I think our outlook remains that India-Pakistan cooperation, and we hope they will find ways to continue it in the future,”Boucher said.

Skepticism about Delhi’s post-blasts policy ran so deeply in Boucher that at one point, he suggested India may not be such a long-suffering victim of terrorism after all.

Mr. Boucher, what qualifies you to make such a statement ? Maybe you should take a look here

And just to bring everyone up to speed, this is not the first time Mr.Boucher has done this.

QUESTION: Mr. Boucher, do you have anything on the proposal for the creation of a European Union military headquarters in Brussels independent of NATO — something that have angered the United States, according to reports?

MR. BOUCHER: I’m not quite sure what proposal that is. You mean the one from the four countries that got together and had a little, bitty summit?

QUESTION: That’s exactly it — and Belgium insisting to this —

MR. BOUCHER: Yeah, the chocolate makers.

Boucher apologized right away and said, “I think they have been referred to that way in the press. I shouldn’t repeat things I see in the press.”

And in Nepal he suggested this

During his brief visit to Kathmandu last month, Boucher had advised the Nepal government not to include Maoists in the interim government unless they give up arms. He had also expressed doubts over their intention to return to peaceful competitive politics.

And for a lot of other silly little things this man has said, you can go here

Mr. Boucher, I rephrase what varnam.org had to say about one of your previous statements,

You look silly, arrogant, ignorant and stupid in the eyes of more than a Billion people (India, Nepal, Germany, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg should be more than a Billion) and to top it all off, you have absolutely no clue about timing.
